Volunteers Needed:
We still have several needs for volunteers during the Safari.

1) One volunteer to help at the Staples checkpoint until it closes. That same volunteer would then go to Luling Dam by 6:00 p.m. and count the boats coming through. Even though it is not an official checkpoint, race officials would like to have a hard count of all the boats and the time that they went through, before dark.
2) Two or more volunteers to run the Cuero 236 checkpoint. Depending on the water level, the first boats could come through this checkpoint early Sunday morning. The Cuero checkpoint officially closes at 10:00 p.m. on Monday but will probably close earlier than that.
3) Two or three volunteers at Gonzales Dam to stay all Saturday night.
