Unfortunately the 2010 Texas Water Safari had to be postponed until July 10. The decision wasn’t an easy one considering the time and money those racers/volunteers and their families have invested in this year’s TWS. The deciding factor was the expected flooding conditions along the race course from Victoria to the bay during the race. We are still working out some of the details of the race to be held on July 10.

WHAT WE DO KNOW:

• The race will be held on July 10. If another rain event occurs and we cannot race on July 10, the race will be postponed to July 24. If the river is still flooding on July 24 and the race cannot be held, the 2010 Texas Water Safari will not be rescheduled.
• We are offering full refunds for participants who cannot race on July 10.
• If a team member cannot race July 10 that team member can be replaced by someone else. That person does not have to be previously registered for this year’s TWS. The person can be someone entirely new. However, the team will lose its starting position. Whole new teams will not be allowed to enter the TWS. Some cases may not be black and white, the TWS board reserves the right to review and make a decision on a case by case basis.
• Refund requests and team member changes need to be received by June 25th or post marked June 25th.
